The NutriFarm Purpose
NutriFarm began with a close friendship and a shared drive to use our knowledge to make a real difference. Our two-member team met early in high school through sports, but as our friendship grew, so did our shared interests in biology and chemistry. What started as simple curiosity soon turned into a commitment to apply our skills beyond the classroom. The idea for NutriFarm was sparked by our research in water eutrophication and our firsthand experience living near local farms and lakes. We aspired to make a solution that would benefit both agriculture and environmental health. NutriFarm is our way of making an impact and protecting waterways while empowering farmers to be part of a more sustainable future.
Our Mission: To provide a clean and scalable filtration system that keeps nutrients where they belong and our local waterways clean and healthy.
Our Vision: To create a world where farms can play an active role in keeping their local lakes, rivers, and ponds safe.

Lara Arslan
Ipek Oruc
Ipek is the engineer behind NutriFarm and a natural problem-solver with a lifelong love for building. Her interest in engineering started in her elementary days with creating intricate origami and building LEGO cities as a kid. Today, she brings that same creativity and precision to designing practical solutions. She hopes to pursue chemical engineering and develop innovations that will leave a positive mark on the world.
Lara keeps NutriFarm moving forward. She’s the team’s motivator, turning ideas into action and making sure deadlines are met. She loves spending time outdoors and visiting local farmers’ markets, where seeing farmers sell their own products firsthand helped inspire NutriFarm’s mission. With a strong interest in fermentation science, she hopes to continue exploring the chemistry behind sustainable agriculture in the future.
